Sounds Like Home
Commissioned by Soundly, created by New Take Films and Ant Farm.co. Due for release in April 2024.
This documentary series follows the lives of three sound designers from across the world, exploring how their countries and cultures llow them to capture and record sounds in their own unique ways.
In Serbia we meet Danillo, a classic car collector who is dedicated to finding extremely rare vehicles and capturing their sounds.
In Morocco we meet Sara, a sound designer and audio recordist who uses the sounds of Morocco to elevate her work and bring an incredible soundscape to the sounds she records.
Finally in Ireland, we discover the individuals and organisations that are keeping the Irish language alive through culture, creativity and history. All of these documenaries were filmed in their native langauges of Serbian, Moroccan and Irish Language.
Each shoot had an on site translator and fixer.
