2nd Amendment
A documentary on gun rights and firearms ownership on the East Coast of America.
A documentary funded by the University of Coventry and EU Sponsorship.
Created in 2010, shot on location across the USA.
From the inner-city of Philadelphia where people lie awake in bed at night and play a ‘gunshot or firework’, to the remote Maryland hunters whose livelihoods depend on their firearms, 2nd Amendment goes beyond the headlines and visits those on each side of the gun debate.
Exhausted by political talking heads spouting the same rhetoric over and over again, British film makers James and Richard Morel decided to leave their city of St Albans and head to the East Coast of America to find out first-hand what was really going on.
Shown at Genesis Cinema and Hackney Picture house. 2nd Amendment was distributed across American Studies courses throughout the UK.
